Welcome to The Boars Abode, the perfect venue for your dream wedding. We understand that planning a wedding can be overwhelming, which is why we've compiled a list of frequently asked questions to help make your planning process easier.

What is included in the Wedding Venue Package?

Where are the nearest lodging accommodations? 

The Boars Abode sleeps up to 15 overnight guests, and is a great option for the whole wedding party to stay right on site! Other nearby accommodations can be found here.

Where does the wedding party get ready?

The wedding party has full access to all of the amenities at The Boars Abode, including the Bridal Preparation Suite and the Lower Level Lounge.

Are tables and chairs included in the wedding and event rental? 

The Boars Abode is pleased to offer tables and chairs for up to 200 guests as part of your Investment Package. This includes ten 60" round tables,  fourteen 8' rectangle tables (30" wide), and 200 white chairs.

What about linens, candles, and confetti? 

We understand that each couple has their own unique vision for their special day, which is why we do not include linens as part of your Investment Package.  However, there are a few rental companies in our area that can help you with them. You could also check with your catering vendor to see if they provide linens. Please refrain from using live flames, including candles, at the venue. The use of glitter, confetti, or silk flower petals are also not permitted.

Can we choose any vendor we want? 

Absolutely! You have the freedom to choose any catering or bar service you'd like. We have compiled a list of vendors that we recommend, and you can find their contact information here. If you choose a vendor that is not on our list, we require that they have professional liability insurance and that you share a copy of that insurance with The Boars Abode.

What time does our event begin and end?

You can have full access to the venue at 4pm on the day you choose your Investment package to begin. At that time, you can begin decorating and setting up as you wish, Our Farmhand team can have the tables and chairs set up ahead of time in the general vicinity you prefer. For events held on a Friday or Saturday, the event must end by midnight, with music being shut off at 11:30pm. Bar services must also come to a close by 11:30pm.  Events held on weekdays, from Sunday through Thursday, must end by 11pm with bar services ending by 10:30pm.

Can we leave items overnight?

At The Boars Abode, we ask that items brought onto the property, be removed by the end of your rental period. We want to ensure the safety and security of all items left on the property and appreciate your cooperation in taking everything with you at the end of your rental period.

Does the wedding and event banquet area have heating and air conditioning?

At The Belvedere, the banquet area does not have heating or air conditioning, but the space can be opened up on all four sides, providing plenty of fresh air circulation. The Boars Abode's facilities are climate controlled year-round.

Where can our wedding and event guests park?

Our venue has over two acres of pasture parking available. We also provide easy access to The Belvedere and The Boars Abode for anyone with mobility issues who may need to be dropped off near the facilities areas.

Is staff available on-site to assist during the wedding or event? 

Our Farmhand Team is ready and willing to assist you with absolutely anything you may need!  In order to accommodate a wide variety of budgets, we offer this service as an add on to your package price. Beginning with greeting and directing guests to appropriate areas,  to filling beverages and serving the head table & honorable guests, our Farmhand Team is available to serve you. They may also assist with  clearing tables after your meal, removing extra tables & chairs for your dance,  setting up and taking down lawn games, and taking out the garbage throughout the night.

This add-on service is available with any package. Starting at $50/hour (minimum 3 hours).

Can we set up yard games?

Of course! We provide a Corn Hole set, Yardzee, playground, and an outdoor basketball and sand volleyball court, but we encourage couples to bring their favorite yard games as well to use during the celebration, For safety reasons, we do not allow certain yard games such as axe throwing, lawn darts, or bounce houses.
